We believe the next generation of games should move closer to near real-world scale simulations, where environments span vast distances and thousands of entities exist and interact within persistent systems. Instead of static environments and heavily scripted narratives, we aim to build worlds where characters live their own lives, societies evolve, and events emerge naturally from the interactions between systems.
Storytelling is a central pillar of this vision. We are building technology that allows stories to unfold dynamically rather than relying entirely on pre-scripted quests. Our goal is to create narrative systems capable of generating experiences that feel personal, unpredictable, and unique to each player.
Ultimately, we want to build games where exploration, simulation, and storytelling combine to create worlds that feel truly alive.
We are a small team of two developers working closely together to build both the engine and the games it powers.
Keeping the team intentionally small allows us to maintain full creative and technical control over the direction of our technology.
Every system within the engine is designed, implemented, and refined internally, ensuring that the tools evolve directly alongside the needs of the worlds we want to build.
While the team itself is small, our ambitions are not. By focusing first on strong foundational technology, we aim to create a platform capable of supporting incredibly rich worlds and complex gameplay systems for years to come.
We are currently developing the Fabled Forge Engine alongside multiple in-house game projects. These projects serve both as real games and as proving grounds for the systems we are building within the engine.
Fabled Foundry Interactive is completely self-funded, which allows us to focus on long-term technology development rather than short-term production constraints. This independence gives us the freedom to experiment, refine our systems, and build the engine exactly the way we believe it should be built.
As development continues, we plan to share progress updates, technical insights, and previews of upcoming projects.
